Since I am the photographer of the family!! I've been trying to get Sid to take at least a couple pics with me and the girls!

Oct 2009 - Sent in our application
Dec 2009 - Completed medicals and criminal record check
Feb 2010 - Started Homestudy
Feb 2010 - Traveled to Zambia and fell in love with twin girls!!!
Feb 2010 - Pursued adopting girls
Feb 2010 - Went to court, have fostering papers!!
Mar 2010 - Attended adoption education seminar
Mar 2010 - Finished homestudy
Mar 24 2010 Applied for our girls birth certificates!
Apr 6 2010 - Travel back to Zambia!
Apr 8 2010 - Finally back with our girls!
May 2010 - Received report and application for adoption!
May 21 2010 - Traveled to Lusaka and dropped off paperwork with the Ministry of Social Services
May 21 2010 - Received our effective date of notice for 90 days from today to finalize in court!
May 21 2010 - Went to pick up the girls birth certificates and found out they were wrong and would have to come back to Lusaka!!
May 25 2010 - Received our girls new, correct birth certificates!
July 15 2010 - Applied for our girls passports!
August 4 2010 - Received our girls passports! Completed in just over 2 weeks!!
August 24 2010 - Eden's final court date!!
August 31 2010 - Eden's 2nd court date! Judge rescheduled!
September 2 2010 - Cassidy's final court date!!
September 8 2010 - Judge signed Eden's adoption order!! She's officially a Braaksma!!
September 17 2010 - Judge signed Cassidy's adoption order!! Both of my girls are official Braaksma's!!
September 30 2010 - Sidney traveled to Lusaka to apply for adoption certificate and new birth certificates!
October 8 2010 - Finally received adoption certificate and new birth certificates...should have only taken 2 days, took 8!!!
October 17 2010 - Sidney flew to South Africa to apply for our girls Canadian Citizenship!!
October 21 2010 - Application approved...Our girls are officially CANADIAN CITIZENS!!!
October 27 2010 - Drove to Lusaka to apply for our girls Canadian passports. Have to provide confirmation of flights before they can issue passports!
October 29 2010 - Tickets booked!! Sent confirmation of flights to Lusaka...passports should be ready in 5 business days!!
November 5 2010 - Passports ready???
November 17 2010 - Travel to Lusaka to catch our plane!!
November 18 2010 - Plane leaves Lusaka for London!!
November 18 2010 - Arrive in London and sight see for 2 days
November 20 2010 - Leave for Vancouver
November 20 2010 - Arrive in Vancouver!!! We are done, our girls are home!!!
